Berlin-based duo Chow Chow Disco will bring their surreal brand of funk, disco, and theatrical storytelling to Australia for the first time this January. The project, led by Spanish vocalist Sara Vidal Cabré and German producer/guitarist Jarrah Dhyan, blends pulsating bass, retro synths, and eccentric performance art to create a live experience that blurs the line between concert and fever dream.
MEET CHOW CHOW DISCO
Under a storm of mirrorball light, two figures appear, half real, half reflection. Who are they? Spectres of another era, lovers lost in a loop, or that part of you caught between sense and surrender?
Chow Chow Disco takes form: a fever dream where disco and funk collide with surreal storytelling, reflecting our world while opening a portal to another.
The room starts to breathe. Sequins flash, bass pumps through velvet air, nostalgic synths and distorted voices ignite the dancefloor.
Here, freedom looks a little unhinged — honest, electric, alive.
